Full-Day Kindergarten

The Lolie Eccles Early Education Center full-day kindergarten features high-quality, small classroom academic instruction for a full school day and includes mission-based learning opportunities. Additionally, we provide extended care and day camps for students and older children on days when the Salt Lake City School District is out of school.

Important Dates!

Beginning of School: Monday, August 21st 

 

The Classroom

  • Maximum student to teacher ratio is 1:10
  • Instruction occurs in a newly constructed and outfitted classroom in the lower level of the LEEEC
  • Utah State Common Core Standards and curriculum instruction includes language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, health and physical education
  • Classroom incorporates the use of instructional technology where appropriate
  • For children who are ready for kindergarten
  • School follows the Salt Lake City School District calendar
  • Instruction is Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Extended care is provided from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Day Camps are included in the kindergarten tuition
    • Day Camp will not be available on YWCA holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Break, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day and Memorial Day
